Beka and i went on a “photo walk” this past weekend for the first time. i thought we would just be taking photos of the downtown area but when we got to the Bean at 8pm, we discovered a handful of female models surrounded by a sizable throng of photographers bristling with cameras and various lighting equipment.

there we found my friend Peter (who had invited us) and we quickly split off from the main group so he could help me practice some off-camera flash techniques. i’m still very much a beginner but i think i’m gradually getting the hang of it. (click to enlarge)
