RESCUE CHOPPERS  06.30.06

it seems that my senses are dulled. people tell me all the time that it’s too cold or too hot or too loud or too salty or too whatever and, most of the time, i just stare blankly at them because everything feels fine. it’s like i’ve got a magical force field that waters everything down before it reaches me.

don’t forget that prints are now for sale and if you’d like prints of anything of mine that you don’t see readily available, please e-mail me and let me know. thanks :)

PLAY KETCHUP  06.28.06

some of you may have noticed the new ‘buy prints‘ link and some of you may have not. regardless, i’m going to give you an ear(eye?)ful about it.

the proceeds from print sales will help fund my trip to Kabul* and, if there’s enough left over, maintain this site and buy food that i will eat with my mouth.

currently, there are 40 prints available (some of which have never been seen before!) with the possibility of many more in the near future. if, however, you are inclined to buy a print of a certain photograph that has not been included in the prints gallery, feel free to tell me and i will do my best to make it available for your purchase.

* please e-mail me if you would like to know the details of my trip as i am, for security reasons, reluctant to post them on this website. thanks.

sometimes you’ve just got to take a step forward, roll up your sleeves, and make your own fun.

RIDING HIGH  06.24.06

i missed the Germany versus Sweden and Argentina versus Mexico games today so i checked wikipedia for the scores and was greeted with this fine example of maturity and sportsmanship.

Sweden and Mexico got trounced, by the way.

edit: more World Cup fun

DEMON CAMBER  06.23.06

i had a bizarre dream last night in which i moved to North Shore. well, it was North Shore geographically but was actually a semi-tropical marshland with a sprawling complex of shimmering limestone buildings and the skyline looming in the backdrop. i excitedly snapped photo after photo as flocks of exotic birds flew over beaches and all sorts of wonderful things happened.

later, i decided to hop the L into the city and as it skimmed alongside the roads, i saw taxis leaping over each other and a dozen or so copies of the Spirit of St. Louis taking off.

and i didn’t even have tabasco sauce last night.

A GUY NAMED PONG  06.22.06

you must watch this video. that’s a command, not a request.

WOKE UP QUICK  06.21.06

in an effort to improve my health and overall well-being, i’ve decided to set some ground rules.

1) take contacts off at midnight so eyes can ‘breathe’

2) no more than two hours at the computer nonstop

3) eat no less than three meals per day

4) stop at seventeen shots before things get violent

5) never attempt to consume an entire tin of preserved fish

i know i’ll probably break most, if not all, of these rules on a regular basis but i felt that i should at least make an effort to better myself. anyway, just thought i’d put that down in writing.

sorry if you were expecting something interesting.
