i just had a CRAZY nightmare.

so for some reason or another, i left my camera bag and backpack unattended somewhere. when i returned, i found my camera missing and a silver Sigma SA7 with a pinhole lense in its place. similarly, my laptop had also been stolen and, frustratingly, replaced by an iBook.

i was furious.

so, in my fury, i rampaged across the land searching for those that had bereft me of my pretties. i remember searching in the building i was in, some weird shopping mall place, and a pizza-making school to no avail. finally, i decided to go to the mafia for help but woke up before i got there.

i was sweating, my fists and teeth were clenched, and my heart was pounding. then i breathed a silent prayer of thanks when i realized it was all a dream.

browsing through the weblogs of people that i once called friends but have since lost touch, i can’t help but wonder how different life would be if i had tried harder to maintain those friendships.

to be honest, i’m not entirely sure how it all happened to begin with. all i know is that now about half my “buddy list” is filled with people with whom i would feel awkward talking to again. so should i go out on a limb and pull a “hey, it’s been a while. you may not remember me, but…” or just go about my usual routine of pretending they don’t exist?

i’m ashamed to say that lately i’ve been busying myself with the latter. i keep telling myself that i’ll get back to them soon, that i’ll renew old comraderies and attempt to salvage the remains of my former social life one of these days.

but today is not that day.

alright, everyone. i’ve decided that enough is enough: i’m going to start selling prints. 8×10’s, to be precise. i’m not going to sell prints for all my photos, though. just a select few. so if any of you have suggestions as to which photographs i should offer in print form, drop me a line in the comments box. you can either tell me the date on which the photo was posted (include year, please) or you can give me the four digit filename.

so Rich told me about Mozy, two free gigabytes of storage space in which to back up your most precious files. also, for every four people you refer to Mozy, you get one additional gig of space added to your account. i’m trying to get enough to back up all my photos.

which means i’ve got to refer about 150 people. so…

so please help me out :)

the house is not falling apart, my clothes are not on fire, my left leg does not end in a stump, my right arm is not in a sling, my eyes don’t point in different directions, and i don’t smell like wet dog.

all in all, not a bad day.

i received two wounds recently, a cut on my left elbow from an unknown source and a slit on my right index finger from trying to loose a stubborn bottlecap with my bare hands. they’re not the noblest of scars in the most valiant of times, i know.
